Afternoon update

The attending and neurologist came by and spoke with mom.

Neurologist said what we already know. Things are positive but there is still a lot of things that we can't test got right now.

Attending said she is going to get two liters of blood. The fluid on the lungs is what they are suspecting for the decreased digestive functioning. They are going to try suctioning a little less of her stomach content to see if she can absorb any of it.

Now for the somewhat difficult part. Katie has continued to respond to questions and when asked how much visitation she wants she indicated that she is not feeling up to lots of visitors. There are several of you that have been here everyday. Continue coming if you want to but we are asking for short visits to say hello etc until she feels a bit more ready.
