Katie came out of her procedure drowsy but hungry. So when Richard showed up with grilled cheese and fries from IN & OUT she chowed down on a burger and a half.
In the morning she will have another x ray and testing of the defibrillator and should be good to go. We'll have to keep her burns dressed but they are healing well. She can't raise her arm for several weeks and feels like she was kicked in the shoulder from the implant, but that should heal quickly.
It's hard to believe this ordeal is almost at an end for us. Of course Katie will continue to deal with appointments and being bionic, but she's already talking about getting back to work.
There is so much in my mind and heart but I'm too tired to pull it out. After sitting for hours waiting and celebrating with grilled cheese and coming home to get empty boxes out and vacuum and get the house ready for Katie to come back to it has been a long day!
Katie is making plans for what we should do this weekend! I hope she changes her mind cause I'm pooped
Thank God He is up all night to keep His eyes on things and I can sleep soundly.
No wonder why your pooped! Still up at 2:34 am. LOL. So happy that Katie is doing well and things are on going right on schedule. I know Katie will be thrilled when she can sleep in her own home again. Blessings to all.
