The night nurse and I just visited about Katie's progress. She was Katie's nurse last night too. A lot of the nurses in this ward have also had turns with Katie, and have had windows into Katie's condition and change.
Her nurse said all the staff are amazed at Katie's progress, physical and especially mental. "We don't usually see someone in Katie's condition bounce back so quickly."
The nurse said the mental difference even between last night and tonight is stark. She is making more sense, and saying fewer out of place things according to the nurse.
Katie is not getting many drugs; a little for pain, and little more. Nonetheless, the nurse believes that on board, no yet metabolized and excreted drugs are contributing to her mental confusion.
