Katie had a few visitors but at. 2:00 when I got there she was all peacefully snugged in her bed not able to keep her eyes open. I guess the physical therapist really wore her out too. This was in spite of the fact that 3 boys with 2 video games and 4 adults were having a fiesta in the next cubicle. I sat beside Katie struggling with wanting to point out that there was an ill person in the bed trying to sleep and praying for the poor patient in the next bed. Finally an angel of a nurse came in and sent all but 2 people packing.
I didn't want to be the one to make waves because we have been in violation of the 2 person rule! We aren't good at leaving from 6/8 either.
So I stepped out at 5:30 so Larry could get settled in to watch the cardinal game with K and Richard.
I think Katie may have had her first normal down/ rest day.
Tomorrow schedule is for an angiogram of her heart to eliminate any heart/vein abnormalities. I find it hard to believe that wasn't done years ago. Her burns continue to be a source of pain and her eyes ate still giving her some trouble.
A urologist saw her on day 8 and came in today. Again, to somewhat marvel. He said the entire team is re-evaluating their treatment protocols because of her. Not sure exactly what he meant, but they did pull all stops for her. I think when God acts and answers his people's prayers it plays a little trick on the Doctors. Maybe he inspired some treatment that they were surprised to see work. I don't know what has them confused, just know I am happy if it helps another patient. And ecstatic Katie is almost well, m. better than ever.
Then Tuesday for the pacemaker and a new lease on life. Have lots of questions for the cardiologist so pray I can find him tomorrow.
Thanks for your continued prayers!
Vickie
