Katie is going quite well physically. The only medical note is that they want to put in a naaogastric tube, which they couldn't last night. They want family there for calming influence today when they try again.
Katie is agitated and angry with about everyone now! She is upset with me because I wouldn't walk her to the restroom. She is a little confused also, which she wasn't earlier this morning. The charge nurse told me that was quite expected.
Katie talks too much, and I am starting to look away some of the time to make it less likely she will speak.
The staff wants a family member there all the time now. Vick and I will spend the day. I will spend the night. I will probably take a few hours off and get some sleep before returning for the night.
The agitation and low level confusion is temporary. Again, no alarm bells are being sounded by anyone.
There should be no visitors today. In a short while, I am sure Katie will want the whole world to visit.
