Larry: katie had a good night. she is increasingly breathing on her own and should be off machine assisted breathing today. very good chance. if that happens they might move her from the clam shell like bed to a regular bed. the nurse told me, even though it is not a sure thing, he expects that to happen today. the fever is very low grade and is not of major concern to the staff.
practically all her measurements and vitals are improving steadily. my apology for not remembering more numbers.
as a family we are tag teaming. I haven't been around all the time and wasn't aware till last night that there has been almost no communication with us by the doctors. i had assumed some contact had occurred and had not given enough thought to the sources of information.
with the lack of information coming from the doctors to the nurse and asked that the nurse pass on our need for better communication.
